Lots of crap commenting about these aren't real, dinosaurs aren't real, and so on.

I for one am really impressed with that long, overhead shot of the tracks. That's nothing short of amazing, right down to the one "misstep" that doesn't fit the smooth pattern of the others. I see now why this place is a big deal.

Lots of crap about dinosaurs being real. I like that nothing in the overhead shot of tracks indicate that dinosaurs existed. This place is indeed a big deal for certain type of theories that need clay to become tangible.

or not young earth creationists are that odd.

Poe's Law breaks down in the face of them.

Before the magic combi covid and trump, at least here no one would say these things out loud, now I have at least one conversation a week, usually with someone fairly normal looking, who, after a while into the conversation, will start saying something about the gov holding things back and then I only have to lean in a little bit to get them to go full chemtrails, flat earth, moon landing hoax, anti vaxx, young earth creationist on me. Usually they are indeed recent converts (few years) and often (most I speak to) had some sort of loneliness mental breakdown during the covid lockdowns.

I advise you to travel more, meet a larger diversity of humans. You seem to be suffering a non-covid-related loneliness mental breakdown

You think I talk daily to people I don't know and then weekly meet a different conspiracy crackpot by not travelling all the time?

Chemtrails definitely not a hoax. Perhaps the effects on anything breathing their remains are unknown, and probably not for widespread mind control but governments do not shy away from mentioning in their reports the use of chemtrails for weather modification. A more know example was at the Beijing Olympics where they used cloud seeding techniques: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beijing_Weather_Modification_O...

            > probably not for widespread mind control

"Probably". So, in your opinion, is it more or less likely than Jewish space lasers?

FWIW, a devil's advocate view: the UK has a long history of hoaxes designed to increase tourism. With a self-interested media that gives credence to these "discoveries".

Crop circles.

Loch Ness monster.

The footprints were covered in 4-5 metres of limestone rock though, that would have been a very committed hoaxer.

When you have 2000+ years of history something called a "culture" develops along with myths and legends. Over time they become widespread.

It's a national past-time over there. They'll be unearthing "King Arthur's" sword soon.

      • IAmBroom a day ago

King John - of Robin Hood fame - "discovered" King Arthur's Round Table buried in the courtyard of a monastery.

The table top still exists, a testament to political PR marketing.
